The vast majority of players competing at this level don’t receive sponsorship or the financial support required to focus solely on developing their competitive abilities.  A typical season for a professional golfer with 11 tournaments could cost upwards of $10,925 per year. Cost is a major factor in whether or not a player chooses to participate in an event. We don’t want players skipping out on events, sleeping in their cars or working 3-4 different jobs to cover for their entry fees as it’s not the recipe to peak performance. Unfortunately, it’s the reality for far too many golfers at this level trying to make it and these financial worries shouldn’t be at the forefront of an athlete’s mind.
