I was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 5 by my father. I have never had a coach and saw golf more as a hobby as I launched myself fully into a basketball career. I played a few tournaments here and there but nothing serious. In 2021, with my job permitting, I decided to try and take golf more seriously. It was my first real summer as a competitive golfer. I am giving myself a four-year window to try and play professionally. I played my first tournament ever on the ECPT as an amateur at the Sutton Quebec Match Play where I made it to the round of 16. I then followed that up by placing 21st out of 156 at my first Quebec Provincial Amateur Championship ever. I then went on to make the cut at the Canadian National Mid-Am Championship. I am looking forward to building on the incredible summer in the next coming years.

J’ai été initié au golf à l’âge de 5 ans par mon père. Je n’ai jamais eu d’entraîneur et je voyais le golf plutôt comme un passe-temps alors que je me lançais à fond dans une carrière de basketteur. J’ai joué quelques tournois ici et là mais rien de sérieux. En 2021, mon travail me le permettant, j’ai décidé d’essayer et de prendre le golf plus sérieusement. C’était mon premier véritable été en tant que golfeur de compétition. Je me donne une fenêtre de quatre ans pour essayer de jouer professionnellement. J’ai disputé mon tout premier tournoi sur l’ECPT en tant qu’amateur au Sutton Quebec Match Play, où je me suis rendu en huitième de finale. J’ai ensuite terminé 21e sur 156 à mon tout premier Championnat provincial amateur du Québec. J’ai ensuite réussi à me qualifier pour le Championnat national mid-amateur canadien. J’ai hâte de poursuivre sur la lancée de cet été incroyable dans les années à venir.
