Charles was introduced to the game of golf at a really young age. At 3 years old, he already had a golf club in his hands and was hitting golf balls in his backyard with his dad André. Charles began to play junior tournaments at the age of 12. At 13, he won the silver medal at the 1998 Quebec games in Alma (Qc) after replaying 4 times the par-3 18th hole in sudden death. Charles turned professional in 2009 at 23 years of age. In 2013, he had a runner-up finish at the Wampole cup match play. Last year was by far his best season on the professional tour (ECPT, PGA du Québec, PGA of Canada). He really thrives on playing professional golf tournaments and compete against the best golfers in Quebec. His goal for the next season is a win and a chance to qualify for the Canadian Open.

Charles a été initié au golf à l’âge de 3 ans par son père André. Il avait déjà un bâton dans les mains construit spécialement par son père pour se pratiquer dans sa cour arrière. Charles a commencé à jouer des tournois juniors à l’âge de 12 ans. Il a gagné la médaille d’argent aux jeux du Québec à Alma (QC) en 1998. Cette médaille a été gagné après avoir rejoué le 18e trou à 4 reprises en prolongation. Charles est devenu professionnel en 2009 à l’âge de 23 ans. Il a terminé 2e au championnat Match Play de la Coupe Wampole en 2013. Il connu la meilleure saison de sa carrière en 2021 sur le circuit professionnel (ECPT, PGA du Québec et PGA du Canada). Il est un passionné de la compétition en tournoi. Il raffole de la pression en tournoi et de jouer contre les meilleurs professionnel du Québec. Ses objectifs pour la prochaine saison sont d’obtenir une victoire et d’avoir la chance de se qualifier pour l’Omnium Canadien.
