Lucas was introduced to the game of golf at a very young age. At the age of 3, Lucas’ dad would take him to practice at Kettle Creek Golf Course, the local executive golf course. Lucas began playing competitive golf at the age of 18. Lucas played one year of collegiate golf for the Georgian College Grizzlies, then turned professional in 2013 by winning the Ontario PGA PAT Event. Lucas graduated from Georgian College with a Bachelor of Business degree in Golf Management. Lucas has competed on professional tours around the world including the Australasia Tour, New Zealand Professional Tour and mini-tours throughout the state of Florida. Lucas’ biggest year in his professional career was competing on the PGA Tour Canada-Mackenzie Tour in 2021. He finished in the Top 100 on the Order of Merit. Lucas’ unique life situation is what sets him apart from the crowd. He and his girlfriend decided in 2020 to quit their jobs to pursue Lucas’ golf career and converted their Ford Transit Van into their “Home on Wheels.” Lucas and his girlfriend now live fully remote and have traveled all over North America to help Lucas chase his dream.

Lucas a été initié au golf à un très jeune âge. Dès l’âge de 3 ans, le père de Lucas l’emmenait s’entraîner sur le terrain de golf Kettle Creek, le terrain de golf exécutif local. Lucas a commencé à jouer au golf en compétition à l’âge de 18 ans. Lucas a joué une année de golf collégial pour les Grizzlies du Georgian College, puis est devenu professionnel en 2013 en remportant le PAT Event de la PGA de l’Ontario. Lucas a obtenu un baccalauréat en affaires avec une spécialisation en gestion de golf au Georgian College. Lucas a participé à des tournois professionnels dans le monde entier, notamment l’Australasia Tour, le New Zealand Professional Tour et des mini-tours dans tout l’État de Floride. La plus grande année de Lucas dans sa carrière professionnelle a été de participer au PGA Tour Canada-Mackenzie Tour en 2021. Il a terminé dans le Top 100 de l’ordre du mérite. La situation de vie unique de Lucas est ce qui le distingue des autres. Sa meilleure moitié et lui ont décidé en 2020 de quitter leur emploi pour poursuivre la carrière de golf de Lucas et ont converti leur Ford Transit Van en leur “Home on Wheels”. Lucas et sa meilleure moitié vivent maintenant complètement à distance et ont voyagé dans toute l’Amérique du Nord pour aider Lucas à poursuivre son rêve.
