I started golf late in life, not starting until age 14. At age 17, I qualified for the optimist international junior golf championship. At this event, I played with some of the best juniors in the world and came 14th. This made me the highest placed Canadian. The next year I played in Canadian Juniors, placing top 25 at Cataraqui Golf Club. My addiction to golf led to becoming a +3 handicap and competing with some of the best players in the country after just 3 years of playing.
At this point, I decided to continue my competitive career at the University of Ottawa. In my 4 years competing at University of Ottawa, our team won one OUA championship and had 2 2nd places. In my first year, I competed at the Canadian University Championships. I came T4 with rounds of 74, 72, 67, 70 (-5). This helped our team come 4th in the country, the highest finish in our program’s history. This past year, I finished my career with OttawaU with a win at the OUA regional tournament at Oshawa Golf Club.
I am looking forward to pursuing my professional career and putting in the work necessary to get to the next level.

J’ai commencé le golf tardivement, à l’âge de 14 ans seulement. À 17 ans, je me suis qualifié pour le championnat international de golf junior Optimist. Lors de cet événement, j’ai joué avec certains des meilleurs juniors au monde et j’ai terminé 14e. J’étais alors le Canadien le mieux placé. L’année suivante, j’ai participé au championnat canadien junior et je me suis classé parmi les 25 premiers au Cataraqui Golf Club. Ma dépendance au golf m’a permis de devenir un handicap +3 et de rivaliser avec certains des meilleurs joueurs du pays après seulement trois ans de jeu.
À ce moment-là, j’ai décidé de poursuivre ma carrière de compétiteur à l’Université d’Ottawa. Au cours de mes quatre années de compétition à l’Université d’Ottawa, notre équipe a remporté un championnat des SUO et s’est classée deux fois deuxième. Au cours de ma première année, j’ai participé au Championnat canadien universitaire. Je suis arrivé T4 avec des rondes de 74, 72, 67, 70 (-5). Cela a aidé notre équipe à se classer au 4e rang au pays, le meilleur résultat de l’histoire de notre programme. L’année dernière, j’ai terminé ma carrière à l’Université d’Ottawa avec une victoire au tournoi régional des SUO au Club de golf d’Oshawa.
J’ai hâte de poursuivre ma carrière professionnelle et de fournir le travail nécessaire pour atteindre le prochain niveau.
