My first interest in golf came at a very young age. My father and I watching the European Tour on BBC in the early to mid 2000s was my first memory of golf. I started playing golf with real clubs at the age of 6. My first tournament was at the age of 9 and it was also the first time I played the full 18 holes. I was the youngest player in the 13 and under division and I shot 101 and 99. I loved hitting golf balls and playing on the course everyday and would play till sunset. This hard work eventually paid off as I won the 2017 Ontario Men’s Amateur, 5 days after turning 16 becoming the youngest winner in the championship’s history. This achievement helped to boost my interest, love and desire to play golf even more. I turned professional in 2021 at the age of 19. In my first season, I played on the PGA Tour Canada-Mackenzie Tour and finished T2 at the Mackenzie Investments Open and 5th at the ATB Financial Classic which resulted in me finishing 11th on the Order of Merit. In 2022, via Q-School, I got conditional status on PGA Tour Canada. I Monday qualified for the PEI Open and the Osprey Valley Open and did well enough to be able to compete in the last 6 events of the season without qualifying. I finished 6th at the Quebec Open, T5 at the Manitoba Open and T11 at the GolfBC Championship to finish 34th on the Order of Merit. This got me full status for the 2023 PGA Tour Canada season.

J’ai commencé à m’intéresser au golf à un très jeune âge. Mon père et moi regardions l’European Tour sur la BBC au début et au milieu des années 2000, c’est mon premier souvenir du golf. J’ai commencé à jouer au golf avec de vrais clubs à l’âge de 6 ans. Mon premier tournoi a eu lieu à l’âge de 9 ans et c’était aussi la première fois que je jouais un 18 trous complet. J’étais le plus jeune joueur dans la division des 13 ans et moins et j’ai tiré 101 et 99. J’adorais frapper des balles de golf et jouer sur le terrain tous les jours, jusqu’au coucher du soleil. Ce travail acharné a fini par porter ses fruits puisque j’ai remporté le championnat amateur masculin de l’Ontario 2017, 5 jours après avoir eu 16 ans, devenant ainsi le plus jeune gagnant de l’histoire du championnat. Cet exploit a contribué à stimuler encore plus mon intérêt, mon amour et mon désir de jouer au golf. Je suis devenu professionnel en 2021, à l’âge de 19 ans. Lors de ma première saison, j’ai joué sur le PGA Tour Canada-Mackenzie Tour et j’ai terminé T2 à l’Open Mackenzie Investments et 5ème à l’ATB Financial Classic, ce qui m’a permis de terminer 11ème à l’Ordre du mérite. En 2022, grâce à la Q-School, j’ai obtenu un statut conditionnel sur le PGA Tour Canada. Je me suis qualifié lundi pour l’Omnium de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard et l’Omnium Osprey Valley et j’ai fait assez bien pour pouvoir participer aux 6 derniers événements de la saison sans me qualifier. J’ai terminé 6e à l’Omnium de Québec, T5 à l’Omnium du Manitoba et T11 au Championnat GolfBC pour terminer 34e à l’Ordre du mérite. Cela m’a permis d’obtenir un statut complet pour la saison 2023 du PGA Tour Canada.
